Rescue Mission: Summer Silsbury

Where the hell was she? Seriously.

Green walls lined the edges as dark, wobbly looking chandeliers hung over her head, swaying to the non-existent wind, creating a sort of creaking noise, like hinges that have left to rust, or the sound of nails on the chalkboard. The blonde whimpered slightly as she took another step on what she noted was some sort of frayed hall carpet that had been placed over a decaying planks of wood. She lifted her green eyes from the floor and examined the walls as she went, trying to shake of the eerie feeling that the portraits that hung on the wall were watching her. Their painted eyes following her with each step. Criticizing her, talking behind her back, mocking her for her being so clueless at the moment.

"Hello?" She called out warily as she wrapped her arms around herself, continuing her walk down the seemingly never ending hallway. Both half afraid and yet half hoping that someone would answer her "Can anybody hear me?" She called out once more, her voice cracking in fear when she took another step and the wood creaked from her weight.

Calm down. Calm down. Calm down.

If there's a way in, then there's a way out....but, how did she end up here in the first place? The last thing that she remembered was standing in front of a mirror with the lights closed, a rose in her hand and a single candle stick flickering behind her as she chanted out for Bloody Mary. This was completely mental! if she only knew that this would be the outcome for that stupid dare, then she would never have agreed in the first place!

There was something about the atmosphere that made Kaikou rather uneasy tonight of all nights. He couldn't shake the feeling that he was getting, and he felt especially restless.

He turned to his oblivious sister, happily humming a song beside him, not even feeling that uneasiness weighing down his shoulders. "Naitou."

"What?" Naitou turned to him, face losing that dopey smile she had on.

"Call Owen and Masato." He said, biting his lip. Of course Naitou would still be oblivious to this feeling. Albeit siblings, Naitou's tracking and navigation skills are far inferior to his yet, but, his communication skills are inferior to hers seeing that Naitou can actually block him from contacting her. "Something isn't right..."

"There is?" she asked, raising a brow but no longer asking further. When her brother says to call two of the other members and say something isn't right, it only meant that there really is trouble brewing somewhere. she looked around and took out her card. "Seriously...at this hour...it's a little too soon." she sighed and summoned Iris to do her bidding on calling Owen and Masato. Iris appeared magnificently behind her and through the persona's ability, sent her message telepathically.

'Nakajima-san, Owen...can you hear me? I'm sorry to disturb you right now, but Kai's calling in an urgent meeting.' she said and turned to her brother, still standing there. "Well? What are you waiting for?"

"What?" the older boy snapped back to his senses and sighed heavily.

"Don't just stand there. I called them for a reason, you know. Don't tell me you forgot. At times like these, you're supposed to call on Ichnaea and scan Limbo. Sheesh. When you get that feeling, there's someone stuck in the place." Naitou rolled her eyes at her brother's inattentiveness. She watched as Kaikou went and summoned Ichnaea and tracked Limbo for any sign of a lost person.

As soon as Masato recieved Naitou's message, he dropped his guitar on his bed and dialed a number on his cell phone. As he was waiting for the person to pick up, he couldn't help but feel a bit irritated. He scratched the back of his head as the manager of the club he was supposed to play at answered his phone.

"I'm sorry I can't go there and play. Something came up..." he said and hung up immediately. There goes his money to buy ammunition...

He retrieved his two revolvers and put on his new modified boots. He drew the blade from inside the boots and kicked a non-existent enemy. He sighed and started walking to where Naitou and possibly Kaikou were.

"Showtime..." he muttered to himself as he shoved his hands inside his pockets.

All four gathered in a coffee shop just outside of the campus' library.
"Okay... " A man who had hair at the shade of bright green and was sporting a hooded jacket and a black cap., "Charlie mentioned that he sensed a student being sucked into Limbo."
He unrolled a map showing the bird's eye view of the campus. He pointed to the dorms. "Our vic was last sensed at the dorm. And-"
"Skim white Cappuccino for... Owen!" a waitress passed by with a tray with a cup of freshly-brewed cappuccino.
"Why, thank you!" the green-haired man said, taking off his cup and grinning at the lady as he took the cup, "So, you come here often?"
"I work here." the waitress gave him a disgusting look after she walked back to the register.
"She totally digs me..." Owen said, sitting back to his chair. The group merely stared at him, "ehem, back to the mission, one of us enters from her room from the girls' dorm while the others try to cut her off before she reaches the end of the dungeon."
He made several gulps of coffee.
"So............ any volunteers on who's going to the dorm?"

"So answering people doesn't seem to be big thing in here, huh?" She asked herself as she continued her walk down the corridor as if talking to yourself was the new norm these days. "Not very cheery." She commented as she took another calming breath. She was pretty sure she was going crazy now...that was the last dare she was going to do. EVER.

"Well, you aren't very cheery either, aren't you?" A voice suddenly said from behind her.

Summer whipped around, her face panicked as she searched the empty hall "Who are you?! Where are you hiding?!" She called out as she turned around once more, her breathe coming in shallow, terrified gasps.

The voice chuckled and said in a chillingly familiar voice "Don't you know me Isabella?" It asked her as Summer turned around once more, frantically searching for the source of the voice that sounded quite like hers "I'm you...and I'm always around."

"Do not call me that!" The blonde suddenly snarled at the old nickname "and you are most certainly not me!" Then she turned around and reached into her pocket for anything that she could use to defend herself, but was disappointed when she only found her pen. Some help that was going to be. "Show yourself!"

"of course not! How silly of me!" The voice said once more as a shape started to emerge from the shadows, sort of floating towards her, taking shape with each step that it took until a replica of her stood a few feet from her "I am so much better than you."

The blonde simply stood there in shock, frozen in place as the thing that claimed to be her smiled maliciously both beautiful and terrifying at the same time. "You can never be good enough, could you?" It managed to say as it neared "Not in London, not in here either. Why did you think your parents sent you away? You're nothing but a spoiled brat!" It continued while moving slowly

"That's not true!" She cried, tears now freely falling from her own eyes as she shook her head but stayed rooted in place out of fright while the thing lifted one of it's arms, ready to strike her down.

Honestly, it was not inconspicuous enough with the meeting place, but better a cafe than an alleyway, right? And really, Owen is once again at work, flirting on girls in the midst of a discussion about their mission. And he got Kaikou's name wrong again. It was evident on her brother's face that he was very much displeased being called a different name, but it was rather unusual that he did not argue about it. It is after all, not the right time to do such.

Naitou raised her glasses on the bridge of her nose with one finger and sighed, stepping up on the role. "I'll go. I have access as student council member to the dorms. Plus, It's a girl's dormitory. It would be less conspicuous for me to go there instead of a guy." She then stood up and prepared to leave. "I'll go on ahead then.

The earlier the better. Whoever was trapped there, she just hoped still has not met their doom yet. Hurrying to the girls dorms, although she had easily entered the premises, it was a mystery how Naitou was able to hide her Scythe from the eyes of the residents, but when she got there, there was already no one in the halls, prolly all of them in their own rooms. Still, there was a chance that anyone would go out and see her wielding a real death scythe. All the more reason for her to hurry then. After climbing a few floors and walking down the eerily silent halls, she stopped at a doorway, to where Owen had mentioned was the room of the person whom had gone missing. She entered the room easily as well and grimaced at the darkness that greeted her. Taking a step, here and there, looking for that blasted mirror, ah there it is.

Just touch it right? Touch? That's what they've been doing right? So Naitou grips her scythe tightly in her hand and reaches for the mirror with the other. "Here i go." and with the touch, she closed her eyes and the next that she knew she was in a different place. Green walls, wobbly chandeliers....why are places like Limbo always so eerie and do they have to be like hallways? She shivered for a second and summoned her persona to contact Kaikou. "Iris!" she called, 'Kai. I'm in....'

'All right...I'll pinpoint your location and tell Owen and Masato-'

"What?" Naitou perked up, serious mode on. 'Kai! THere's no time! Get Owen and Nakajima-san in here now!' with that, she cut-off communication and made a dash towards where she heard the cries and screams.

What she saw made her heart drop: Summer on the floor, defenseless and her shadow about to make a lethal strike. Without much hesitation, she wielded her scythe quick on the shadow, making it disappear into a mist. It was that too easy, but Naitou was not wary. She knows, she had a feeling that this was not over yet. She turned to Summer and kneeled infront of her. "Summer!" she calld, but the girl was still crying. "Summer! It's me...Naitou. Come on. Get up." she pulled onto Summer's shoulder and tried to yank her up. "Get up, we have to get going-"

Suddenly, a sharp pain was inflicted in the arm that was trying to pull Summer up; it had a deep slash and was bleeding badly that Naitou dropped her weapon and turned around, using her body as a shield for Summer.

She was right to have her doubts. In front of her was once again Summer's shadow, smiling menacingly, and was the cause of her injury. It was once again rady to take a vengeful strike at her and to Summer.

'OH no...' she gripped her injured arm. 'COME ON, OWEN, NAKAJIMA-SAN...WHERE ARE YOU?'

He watched Naitou leave the cafe' and stood up, planning on following her immediately into Limbo. The only problem was... where was he going to enter from...? He rushed out of the cafe' and went to the girls' dorms, looking around for any mirror that he could get into without being seen.

He couldn't see any mirrors.

'I guess I've got no choice...' he thought as he rushed inside the dorm. 'There should be at least a mirror not inside the girl's rooms. I've just got to find it.'

After running around inside the dorm, outside of the rooms, he saw a mirror hanging from the wall. Without a second thought, he reached out to the mirror and entered Limbo.

When he reached Limbo, he could already see some stray Shadows crawling about on the floor. He readied the blades of his boots and approached one of them silently. When he was in striking range, he threw out a round house kick to the Shadow's head, decapitating it and dissolving it into a pile of black goo.

'It's better to conserve bullets right now... I don't know when we'll need 'em.' he thought as he proceeded silently down the hallway. He then heard Naitou's voice, frantic, then he heard something fall to the floor.

Masato ran towards where he heard Naitou and saw someone or something towering over her and another girl with blonde hair.

With a snap of his fingers, he changed Personas and called out.

"Kraken!" The huge squid (which he had no idea why it was a part of his soul) wrapped it's tentacles around the opposing figure, trying to squeeze the life out of it.

Masato ran towards the other two people.

"That's a nasty hit..." he said as he saw the gash Naitou had.

He heard a snarl from behind them and saw the Shadow trying to break free from his Persona's grasp.

'Where the hell's the leader when you need him?' he thought as he reached for one of his revolvers.

Elsewhere, Owen was dancing around like a ballerina as he was hacking and slashing his way through the hordes of Shadows.
"♪I'm a shooting star leaping through the sky like a tiger...♫" Owen leaped high above the enemies, avoiding their moves, "♪Defying the laws of gravity...♫"
He landed and grabbed out his dual modern hatchets out of his sleeves and cut through the weak black blobs with lightning speed
"♪I'm a racing car, passing by like Lady Godiva♫" he suddenly bumped into a ten-foot teddy bear that raised its twisted claws and the coated man evaded the crushing claw and ran up its arm as it was about to pull it back up. He leaped through the head and gashed it open with his twin axes, "♪I'm gonna go, go, go, there's no stopping meeee♫"
He flew across the sky as several ravens holding burning lamps surrounded him in all directions, trying to claw, peck and burn him into submission, "♪I'm burning through the sky, yeah♫"
He swung his axes around as each bird was severed up into an evaporating pile of feathers.
"♪Two hundred degrees that's why they call me Mr. Farenheit, I'm traveling at the speed of light, I wanna make a supersonic man out of you...♫"
He made a swan-like pose on top of a towering pile of books as the birds fell into a burning evaporating ash. The pile of books began to lose balance and he slipped, falling into the pile of dust and smoke.
"... I'm okay!"

Summer looked up suddenly when she heard another voice call her name, a familiar one. But, this time, belonging to another person. "Naitou!" She said in surprise, forgetting her terror for a second at the shock of seeing her classmate in here. What was she doing here? Her eyes then drifted down to the thing that she was carrying and her already pale skin, paled even more. Was that a scythe? and did she just swiped at the thing with the scythe? She moved to get up on her feet once more, she didn't even notice that she had collapsed on the floor until she was being yanked back up on her feet, but then the thing that looked like her managed to hit Naitou in her attempt to protect her.

"Naitou!" She called out as she quickly pulled on the girl's uninjured arm and shouldered her weight, making sure that the girl's...scythe was also nearby. It still freaked her out though. "What can I do to help?"

Suddenly, before she could do anything else, another person burst into the hall and started attacking...well, the thing that looked liked her. She seriously needed to find another name for it. The saw the guy snap his fingers and call out a..Kraken? and sure enough the giant octopus-like creature came out and started assaulting the mirror image of her.

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON????

He then headed towards them and commented about Naitou's injury but did nothing more aside from well..deal with the thing that looked like was putting up quite a fight...seriously, what is that thing? and why does it keep attacking everyone?!

...and just when she thought it couldn't get any weirder, the guy who she assumed was the leader - from the other guy's complaining - pranced into the place, slashing through those mysteriously terrifying creatures as if it was simply a hobby of his to slice his way through a creepy hall until he finally stopped right before her and the injured Naitou.

Not being able to hold herself in any longer, she cried out "WHAT IS GOING ON??" Was she going crazy or something?!

How much Kaikou wanted to be in there now. Naitou had cut off connection with him and now, he's hearing and sensing that his sister was in a very tight situation. About to panic, he sighed in relief sensing Masato's presence, assured that the boy had managed to come to his sister's aide as well as the person trapped in the dungeon.

'Good work, Masato.' he said as a praise for the boy. 'i owe him one.' he thought on the side, although he didn't like to really owe anyone any favors from saving his sister. Truth is, he wants to be the only one who saves his sister.

"Nakajima-san..." Naitou sighed in relief, seeing her team mate arrive. "I'll be fine...thank goodness you're here...I wouldn't know what to do next..." even though pained, she smiled at the boy in front of her.

'Fine?! NAITOU! YOU'RE BADLY BLEEDING! I CAN TELL! GET OUT OF-'

'OH SHUT IT KAI!' Naitou yelled back. 'for crying out loud, we can hear you in our heads, you know. It hurts as bad as my injury...' she then went to search for a hanky to at least cover her injury and stop the bleeding, to no avail. As a resort, she just squeezed her arm a bit, trying her best to cover it up until they can get out of there.

Masato’s persona was still fighting the shadow that continued to struggle to break free. They had better get a move on in destroying it "Where's Owen?" she asked Masato

and on cue came Owen, singing and having way too much fun as always. "There he is." this time it was an exasperated sigh she let out. "Honestly..."

‘I would hate to break it to all of you, especialyl since Owen's ecstatic as usual, but…’ interrupted Kaikou, focusing on the task at hand. ‘…there is a shadow in front of you. Owen, Masato, I can trust you both to get rid of it right now…and get those two girls out of there, right? Let me know if you need a scan.‘ and he was getting a strange aura from Summer too. What was this weird, yet strangely familiar thing he was sensing from the person they were rescuing? 'Let's see what happens then...right, Ichnaea?' he asked from his persona-sensing persona.

Naitou turned to her two teammates. "Just...go. I'll protect Summer." even though it was an injured arm, she still reached and held her scythe close. "Give it a good beating for me, will you?"

and then Summer was at her breaking point and screamed. She turned to Summer with a gentle smile on her face, in order to try and appease with the distress signals she was giving off. "Summer....I'm glad...you're fine...I got so scared about you too..." she started."...It's a long explanation...but right now...please...calm yourself down...you will need to do that first..." she looked at her arm already covered in blood. Not the exact scene to calm a person down, really, but she had to try. Her smiles would at least try, right? and she wasn't one to be brave at the sight of blood, but she wanted to make sure her arm was atleast still alive. And Summer needs to go through this safe as well."You'll be okay, Summer. There's no need to be afraid anymore, trust me...most importantly, trust yourself."

Masato turned the safety off his revolver and started shot the enemy twice which his Persona still held. The bullets hit their mark but the Shadow remained unfazed and started struggling harder against his Persona's grip.

'What's this thing made out off?!' he thought as he quickly reloaded.

He felt something at the back of his head, trying to break out of him. He felt the hot-headedness of his first persona coming from within him.

"Tsk."

Masato bit back a retort as this was not the time to do it. He dismissed Kraken which the Shadow took as it's chance to regain it's footing. Masato snapped his fingers in front of his face and felt Fujin rise from the sea of his soul. He summoned Fujin's card and broke it with a backhand. Fujin appeared and smashed his plate at the Shadow.

"What do we do now, great leader?" he asked Owen as he fired off a few more shots at the Shadow.

"O HAI! GUYS!!!" Owen rubbed his head. He found his cap lying near by and used it to help pat off the dirt all over him. This did not help at all so he merely pat the dirt off of his cap and put it back on. He looked up the hole he just dropped into and looked back at the group, "I didn't know that you guys were nearby so I figured to have some fu-"

"You were clearing the area." a voice was heard from Owen's pocket.
"I was clearing the area." Owen repeated.
"You're really a hopeless little dumbass without me..." Owen grabbed out his card where the voice came from.
"... And that's why I love you..." Owen smiled. He looked at the surrounding enemies that were all swarming up in front of them, "Guys, grab the girl and retreat! We're too outnumbered!"
"Yo, Homies!" everyone but Summer heard a voice in their heads, "I've made a path for you guys to the nearest hiding spot! JUST RUN LIKE FUCKING HELL!!!"

"You're worried?!" The blonde screeched as her green eyes widened considerably while some still-sane part of her mind registered the fact that ladies do not screech. Most especially society ladies like her. But, of course, she wasn't in England anymore and she wasn't expected to act in a certain manner. "You're the one carrying a scythe and is bleeding! Why the hell are you the worried one?!"

Then she blinked a few times as she processed Naitou's words as fast as she could. Trust her? Trust the girl with scythe? and what did she mean by trust herself? What was that supposed to mean? and what the hell does trust have anything to do with getting out of this deranged hallway?! But, instead, she remained quiet as she nodded at her to show that she understood.

Then she looked up at the two guys who were still battling the look-alike thing and had the strong urge to help, but didn't know how. Honestly, she couldn't help but feel that this was her fault and that she should at least do something to help, but before she could say anything, the crazy leader person ordered for a retreat.

Uh, how are they getting past the other monsters though?

"ICHNAEA" Kaikou's words were dripping with poison and anger. Truly, enough, the way his Persona behaved as she spoke those words were something he was not expecting from such a reserved being. It was rather....out of character. "Everyone, please follow Owen. Naitou, use your navigation skills; you'll be able to find this path to the hiding spot." he said to the rest of the members and turned to his summoned persona, displeased and disappointment written all over his face. "WHATEVER POSSESSED YOU TO SAY THAT ICHNAEA? and to think that i thought you were the stricter and reserved one..." he sighed as his persona only lightly chuckled at him.

'Forgive my sudden outburst, master. I was merely making things a little fun than usual tonight...I also apologize to have done so in the wrong moment, after all they are in danger...'

"I don't think so...not for long...that girl with them...I suspect she has the potential, am I right?"

'You always are.'

Naitou only sighed at Summer's frantics. ripping a bit of cloth from her uniform's jacket, she attempted to use it to bandage her arm for the moment as Owen and Masato took care of the shadow at hand. As soon as she had bandaged herself with the measly cloth rapidly getting damp with the blood, she turned to Summer. "Of course I would be worried...since you're in a place like this...and you've been alone for some time...I thought that you would have been lonely...or scared...I don't want a friend to go through that dark path at all." she slowly stood and turned her back on Summer. "Summer...please don't freak out about this..." she said, looking back at her for a moment with a warm smile on her face. She had heard that command by Owen and the other order in her head by her brother and his persona. This is then the right time to use her navigation skills then.

'this hurts like hell, but i have to...' she gripped her scythe using the injured arm, feeling a rush of pain take place, but she did not mind. 'All right, Iris. You ready?'

'more than ever.' said the blissful voice as she dug through her pocket and threw a card in the air. With one slash using her scythe, the card shattered like glass and illuminated a bright blue glow, and suddenly, a beautiful being appeared behind the girl, donning a warm aura about. Closing her eyes, Naitou had spotted the location Kai was talking about that Ichnaea had opened and turned to make a strike at the Shadow in front of them. "AESTUS!" a gush of water appeared out of nowhere, knocking the shadow away to make time for them to escape. She faltered a bit due to her injury, but she remained standing still and turned to her team mates and Summer. Heal herself later; she had to follow orders first by the leader and her brother.

quickly, she grabbed Summer by the arm and yanked her up and ran. "Come on! Let's go this way!" she said and ran to the obvious open path that Ichnaea had earlier made and mentioned.

"Fujin! Cast Sukukaja on all of us!" he shouted as he ran towards the girls. He felt the magic fill his body and everything around him moved in slow motion except for Naitou, Owen and the blonde-haired girl. An idea hit him as he reached the girls' location.

'Changing Personas in the middle of battle is irritating...' he thought as he dismissed Fujin and brought forth Kraken's card. He broke the card with another backhand and the huge squid-like Persona swiped at the lesser Shadows blocking their escape, turning them all into piles of black goo or black mist.

"Come on!" he called towards the girls as he ran ahead, eliminating anything that dared appear before him with the blades of his boots or a bullet or two from his revolver.

He could feel Fujin's magic wear off as he saw the exit that Ichnaea mentioned. He turned around and gave cover for the others as they ran towards the exit.

"Come on!" he called towards the girls as he ran ahead, eliminating anything that dared appear before him with the blades of his boots or a bullet or two from his revolver.

He could feel Fujin's magic wear off as he saw the exit that Ichnaea mentioned. He turned around and gave cover for the others as they ran towards the exit.

The gang followed a white trail. The chase went on for a while before they managed to hide under a stairway. The army of shadows climbed down. Owen also noticed Summer covering Naitou's mouth. Bemused, he shrugged and waited for the herd to pass. Once the coast was clear, Summer had let go of Naitou's mouth. The latter fell, gasping for breath.
"Could somebody cast a Dia on that wound, please?" Owen looked away from Naitou.

As Naitou and Masato argued on who would heal, Owen approached the Summer who seemed like she was confused on what was happening.

"So, I'm thinking we owe you an explanation...?" he asked.

After taking a a number of deep, calming breaths, Summer managed to shakily stand on her feet before looking down on Naitou who seemed to be in good hands before turning her attention towards the crazy-like person --ah, she meant leader.

She placed a hand on the wall beside her, trying to steady herself for a minute before pushing herself away from the wall and crossing her arms over her chest instead, absently wondering how some of Naitou's blood had gotten on her sleeve. Huh, it must have been from earlier.

"I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but...how the hell did I end up in here and what are you all supposed to be?" She asked tersely her gaze raking over the whole group at the last question, keeping her voice down in fear of being found.

Owen stayed motionless for several minutes. He tsked smd rubbed his head.
"Alrighty. First off, welcome to Limbo. We can't explain how this world came to exist yet but right now, it does. Those things we fought earlier, they're Shadows. They like to mess around the people who go into limbo."

"You entered via a mirror by the way." Owen grabbed out his blue card and revealed a dark silhouette moving in the card,"Fell victim with the Bloody Mary gig?"
Summer remained silent.

"A-anyway, this right here is our Persona." he showed Summer his card, "We get to summon them to help us in battle. They're awesome. Each of us have one.... well, except Neil here. He's got some cheat codes."
Owen could feel a piercing glare from Masato.
"I'm Owen by the way." He grabbed the blonde's hand and shook it. "And you prolly know Julie and that's Clint."

Some welcome that certainly was.

"Limbo, right." She said with a curt nod to show that she would remember. Then she frowned briefly when he mentioned going into the place from a mirror. What the---was it from the dare? Oh dear. She would be barking if she was going to try that stunt for the second time. No more. She was going to email the gits back home and tell them to stuff their dares down their arses.

If she got back...

"How do we get out?" She asked with a frown "We seem to be surrounded by those awful things ---shadows."

Then she frowned as he continued explaining about Persona's and some guy named Neil that had cheat codes. Whatever. She was much too confused to deal with this, to be expected to stuff all that information down her panicked brain. But, she knew she would remember it either way

"Nice to meet you Owen." She finally said as she shook the guy's hand once in a firm handshake before looking at Naitou and the guy next to her. "I know her." She said, pointing to the dark-brown haired girl before glancing over to (OOC: Al Beltran, you wanted this.) the guy who looked liked the poster boy for manly sexiness and saying "But I dont' think I know him."

Whilst Owen explains things to a now calm and collected Summer, she had to tell time and time again to Masato that she can do fine, and she didn't need healing until they get out of here, but since the measly cloth covering her wound is already drenched with her blood, she succumbed to Masato's scolding to heal herself already.

Summoning Iris, she had ordered the persona to use Dia on her and sighed in relief to see that she is now all right, albeit there was still an evident mark of a gash in her arm. She grimaced at the state her uniform was in, but shrugged it off.

She turned to Owen. "Owen, we have to get out. This hiding spot Ichnaea had just found isn't going to hide us forever."

then she turned to Masato and then to Summer and plastered a smile on her face once more. "Oh, Summer, this is Masato Nakajima-san. He's in the same year and class as us."

Masato glared at the back of Owen's head as he got his name wrong twice in a conversation.

'If only looks can kill, you'd be dead a thousand times now...' he thought as he turned at the blond-haired student. He doesn't know who she is but judging from the way Naitou talks to her, she's a classmate. He approached the two girls and stuck out a hand.

"Masato Nakajima. Don't listen to what that guy said. He seriously has an issue with remembering names that sometimes I don't know if he does it on purpose..." he said flatly. "I'm sorry we had to meet in such a situation."

He gave a small smile before he turned his back to them to look out for stray Shadows. Naitou was right. They would eventually be found out if they stay in their hiding place. They would need to leave or beat the crap out of Summer's Shadow if they want this to stop now.

"Now that intro's are out of the way, let's get down to business." Owrn rubbed his hands eagerly, "I've heard that the Shadow said something about you being a 'spoiled brat'. Care to share to us what your inner conflicts are?"

"You're really the straight-to-the-point type of guy, huh?" they heard Owen's card from his pocket.
"Quiet bitch. We don't have the luxury." Owen snapped back.

"Spoiled brat? What are you talking about?" Summer started to say as she glanced around the small group and sighed. She didn't really fancy spilling her guts out to a bunch of people that she had just met, but surely he wouldn't ask unless it was vital right?

So, she copied the actions of the people around her and sat down on the floor, trying her hardest to make herself comfortable on the cold, hard surface. Then she crossed her arms over her chest and sighed "Well, I hate being referred to as a spoiled brat." She admitted with a sad shake of her head "But everyone seems to think of me in that manner." Then she looked away and stared at the piece of wall behind Naitou's shoulder "Being an only child, I'm sure you would understand why always get what I want. I mean, why scrimp when there isn't any need to, right?" Then she placed both of her hands on the sides of her head, as if trying to hold herself together "But I don't think that's the explanation you're looking for."

She then leaned back against the wall, her green eyes blank as she tired to find the words to describe how she felt "I was raised to be perfect." She stated in a monotone "I have been educated by the best, and strive for perfection...and yet, I can never achieve it." Her vision then clouded as she felt tears come to her eyes "My parents...they don't believe that I'm doing my best...because there is always someone better than me..." Then she angrily wiped the onslaught of tears that came to her eyes with the back of her palm and said "I reckon that's why I was sent away. Because I've been nothing but a disappointment." Apparently, coming off as second to the highest in your year since kindergarten was a disappointment.

"Summer....that was..." Naitou bit her lower lip, unable to really think of what to say regarding Summer and her family's drive to want perfection so much. At times like these, she often stumbles with words to say with the person who has a problem that's why most of the time she refuses to speak. "Uhm...I don't..." she turned to Owen and Masato, completely clue less of what to say next, but she had to say something at least, right?

"Uhm..y-you don't have to try to be perfect!" she hoarsely said. "I...i think...the Summer here in front of us is someone who's perfect already...and I like this Summer...I think everything about you is wonderful, perfect or not...never mind if you're a disappointment, so what? Why not prove them you're better off?" she covered her mouth, a slight blush coloring her cheeks. "Sorry..I couldn't really help it....please forgive me..."

Turning to Masato and Owen, she scrunched her brows and whispered to them both: "Won't that shadow of hers find us soon enough? I think i can feel it coming already..."

Masato frowned as he listened to Summer spill her guts out to people she never really knew. He could somewhat relate to what she was going through. Hell, he'd been in the same situation as her before. Always being pressured to getting top marks at school, perfect mannerisms and all those things that had to be beaten into his skull at such a young age... But unlike her, he chose to run away from his family and their family's customs.

When Summer finished talking, he couldn't help but give a piece of his mind.

"You don't need to please everyone you meet. Naitou's right... Just show them that you try your best. If you come out on top, good for you, if other people get to the top, just think that there's always next time..." he said as he looked at Summer. "Besides, being perfect would be boring, wouldn't you think? There would be no more room for improvements."

Masato turned away from everyone. He just sounded too freaking cheesy for someone like himself. He readied himself for battle as he heard Naitou's warning and took a deep breath to relax himself.
