Meet up at the Gate [Closed to Masato and Naito]

Naito stifles a yawn as she made her way to the university gate and waited for Masato. She wasn't able to catch him in the room; after all, the professor of the last class dismissed them way early that Masato decided to head somewhere and told her that they'll meet up later...but where?

she wasn't too sure if he'll go back to the room...and she doesn't have his number yet so she can't send a message to meet him.

'I would say that this is the safest place you can wait for him, miss.' Iris told Naito and she pouted as she watched other students walk out the gates in groups, singles and pairs. Most were familiar faces that waved their hands as good bye to her (since she is a part of the student council, she was just a percentage known around.) the crowd was thinning as minutes passed and she felt really unsure of her decision to stay here.

'well...i guess, he'd exit the university here; this is the only way out. I even hurried so i can catch him here...i just hope he hasn't left.' Naito sighed inwardly. 'i'll wait for an hour or two until he gets here. If he doesn't until then, i'll go back straight to the dorm.'

'you're really keen on going out with him?' Iris asked and noticed Naito roll her eyes. 'what is the matter?'

'Iris...you know, that sounded a bit off.'

'what is?'

'It's like you're asking me that i'm keen on going out on a date with him.'

Iris was taken back. 'isn't it that? You are a female, he is a male. you are going out alone with him, is that not what dates are?'

'sometimes i wonder where you get such ideas, Iris, when i never told you anything about such.' Naito only sighed, although she was grinning at her persona's naivety. 'the real thing is, this isn't a date, Iris. This is called a hang out with someone. I want to get to know Nakajima-san because, well, there's nothing wrong with meeting a new friend and getting to know him, right? plus we both live in the same dorm, so i thought maybe we could get along well.'

'i see...so you do not want to go out with him on a date?'

'Must you ask such a question like that about someone i just met last night?' NAito now sounded irritated as Iris only giggled at her. 'Cut it out, Iris.' why did she even think Iris was naive? She wasn't! It would be better to put her asking Naito such things that she planned it to ask her.

'yes, miss.' iris said, though her tone was still playful.

five minutes pass and she looked at the dispersing crowd going out the gates. She was scanning for any sign of Masato and sighed. "There's not much to do but wait. i knew i should have taken his number earlier...or scouted the grounds a bit, looking for him to ask where we'll meet up later..." she mumbled and waved a hand for a few more students that waved at her.

eesh, this is getting tiring, to be honest. Why was she even in student council?

Masato took his time walking around the campus, familiarizing himself with everything there is to know in the university. He saw a couple of familiar faces when he walked around but didn't bother to wave or nod at them.

'I don't even know their names...' he thought as he walked anywhere his legs brought him.

'Aren't you forgetting something?' Fujin asked as Masato kept on walking, shooting glares at anyone who stares at him long enough for him to see them looking. 'You really should stop doing that... I think you're only attracting more attention by glaring at them.'

'Fine. I'll just ignore 'em then.' he answered as he stopped mid-step as he remembered his promise to hang out with Naito.

"Shit!" he muttered as he slapped his face as he started walking toward the school gates.

After a few minutes of walking, he could already see Naito. He raised a hand so that he could catch Naito's attention.

She was still looking at her wristwatch when her instincts told her to look up and see that Masato was there, raising a hand to catch her attention. She fully turned to him with a smile on her face.

she was both relieved and happy that he came. "Nakajima-san, I'm so glad you came." she beamed, and somewhere in her head, she could hear Iris laughing; she could tell that what she said, Iris had a different interpretation.

'quit it Iris.' she hissed inwardly but Iris continued her giggles.

"did you enjoy roaming around the university?" she asked nicely of the boy, whilst thinking of where they'd like to hang out next. There was the strip mall and the mall...but she figured, she should ask Masato where he'd like to go, despite her being the one too offer to hang out.

'I'm not good with this...' Masato thought, trying to get the help of his persona in the situation. 'Can't you do something at all?' he asked Fujin as he pretended to think of a place to hang out with.

'Just ask her to a-' Fujin started but Masato cut him off.

'If this is one of you perverted comments again, I swear I won't talk to you for a whole friggin' week.'

'I was gonna say 'ask her to a cafe'... Pervert...'

"I am NOT a pervert!" he shouted as his eyes widened when he suddenly noticed he just said that out loud.

He ruffled his already messy hair as he decided to go with his persona's suggestion.

"Let's just go to a cafe'..."

"uhmmm....okay?" Naito tilted her head to her right in confusion when Masato said that he was not a pervert.

'Not?' Iris asked, 'didn't you just ask him if he enjoyed roaming around the university? that sounds like a clean question. I'm doubting him...'

'oh, shush, Iris.' Naito sighed mentally.

"I don't think you are..." she slightly giggled, so as to not fully offend or embarrass Masato seeing that he looked embarrassed for saying that he wasn't a pervert out loud to her with no reason. "...uhm, all right, a cafe sounds nice. There's a really good cafe at the mall. It's at the roof deck so if we choose the outdoor spot to sit in, we can get a nice view from above." and to top it all, it was a nice day as well.
